ComputerGo

One of the hardest problems in game-playing today (on computers) is that of the ancient game of Go?.

Computers have bested Kasparov (DeepBlue?) and draw with him (DeepJunior?, 2003). As well, DeepFritz? had a draw with the current top-player of the time (name?).

But the game of Go has proven too difficult for our times. Even the best programs can be beaten by medium-ranked players with ease.

Hopefully AI research will find new methods of unraveling the game of Go, and we will see powerful programs that can beat human oponents.
