DLGProjectRepository

The DLG has a project repository that helps keep track of our projects (like sidecar for linux, LDAP DND Proxy, blitz for linux, etc...)

Actually, we don't have the repository yet, but we're working on getting it up and running.

Starting a repository

What functionality do we want in the system?

Something like source forge? would be nice, but seems like overkill.

I'd say:

• CVS
• Web access to CVS, as well as builds or binaries
• authentication for CVS, (like who is allowed to commit stuff).
• ?

What software choices do we have?

Choices are

• Source Forge?

• Jabber Studio? -- jabberstudio.org
  • Advantages:
    • really nice, simple interface for our stuff. Written in PHP (so we can probably modify it easily)
  • Disadvantages:
    • Not publically available yet!!

• "G Forge" -- source forge? fork
  • Advantages:
  • Disadvantages:

• Alexandria -- interesting, uses XML, but not sure if it's exacly what we want.
