FooBar

If you hang around Computer Scientists, chances are you'll hear the words foo and bar every once in a while.

We (CS people) tend to use them when talking abstractly, often about code, e.g.

So, imagine we have some function foo(x) that takes a list and returns the list and the length of the list....

It appears that "foo" and "bar" come from "foobar", a perversion of FUBAR.

what about the web? anything there?

I dunno. check, why dontcha?
