basically, you want to

1. telnet to dartmoo.dartmouth.edu:7777
2. (at least the first time) use sidecar + kclient to authenticate yourself with a ticket (at least the first time)
3. you will be sent an email with your moo password. If you have that password, you can just telnet to dartmoo.dartmouth.edu:7777 and use your username and moo password to log in. (no kerberos required)

I'm trying to connect using Sidecar (for Linux)

Yea... I tried that last night (07 nov 2002), and I had some issues. But I'm talking to the man in charge (Mark O'Neil), and we're going to make it work perfectly! (i hope ;)

UPDATE: it worked for the 'linux' account (it was the first time, though), so I'm not sure what's going on with my machine...(bonkers, I guess.. :P)
