MoneyLight

The "Money Light" is the green light that appears in the tower of BakerLibrary at times when the alumns and/or trustees are at the College.

For example, the Money Light is usually on during WinterCarnival, Homecoming? and the FreshmanBonfire?, GreenKeyWeekend?, and other similar events.

The Money Light, with its green color, is supposed to encourage alumni donations. Anyone know the real reason behind the light (and why it is green?).

Several articles have been written on this (Money Light Baffles Generations (Friday, February 7, 2003), 'Money' light, of unknown origin, turned on (Monday, October 23, 1995), and Baker's green light is mysterious, enigmatic (Friday, October 18, 1996)) in The D may shed some sort of light on the subject. (No pun intended).
