SidecarForLinuxBetaTesting
Thanks for helping with the beta testing!
If any of you are interested in working on the
GUI for kerberos, or helping to put sidecar into an rpm/.deb, let us know.
Dude, where's my source code?
- I am currently ascertaining the status of the source of this software. I'm just covering my bases to make sure that it's all covered under an open-source license before I post the code publicly.
- If for some strange reason all of the parts of it are not open-source, I will definately support a rewrite of those parts of the code.
Beta Testing results
- Please post results of your testing on this page. We're especially interested if people get it working on Linux PPC or Debian on a Mac.
- If you get it working on a BSD or OSX, that would be really cool! Let us know, and be sure to make a new install page (for BSD) telling us how you did it.

- Tested on dual 800-Mhz PIII dell box, running RedHat 7.3. Only issue was that it seemed to be using quite a bit of the CPU time even with all of the debugging disabled. (RobinsonTryon)
- Dual 220-Mhz PPro homebrew box running Debian 2.2.4. Sometimes have significant lag times connecting with kinit to the kerberos server (maybe network congestion?). (RobinsonTryon)
- PIII 450-Mhz mutt with Redhat 8.0. CPU usage is listed as 0.0% in `top`. I made an attempt at rewriting the sidecard script the Redhat Way as much as possible: AlexsSidecardScript (AlexFerguson)
Put bug reports here:
(if you have problems, bugs to report, etc..please make a note here... we'll try to get on it right away)
Thanks!
