SoftwareSidecar

Sidecar is an application that allows you to connect to remote systems and authenticate using a kerberos ticket.

(more precisely, sidecar allows out-of-band authentication using a kerberos ticket)

Sidecar was developed at Cornell, apparently under the project name 'Mandarin'.

We just finished hacking the sidecar sources (we have for unix) to work under linux. those will be available in a couple of weeks.

UPDATE: -- see SidecarForLinux page.
