The future of the wiki is unclear, but that doesn't mean that it's going away anytime soon... :)

What's happening?

The DOSC (formerly DLG) is working hard to establish a web presence and to have powerful, intuitive (and pretty) websites. Jared doesn't particularly like the look of the wiki (I don't blame him), so we're going to have to give it a face-lift sometime soon.

New Software?

Currently the wiki is running under "TWiki" (see http://twiki.org ), a powerful GPLed wiki written in Perl. We're considering moving to a wiki written in PHP (such as TikiWiki? or PhpWiki?) so that it will integrate smoothly with the rest of our PHP-based services and tools.

We also want to have DND authentication for the wiki, something that would be hard with TWiki but should be much simpler with a PHP-based tool.

We should have updates on the wiki status in the next two weeks.
