Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, or LDAP, is the system that now powers the DND at Dartmouth College.
(In fact, the
DND can access data through
LDAP, an
Oracle database?, or (the original) flat-file format.)

How do I authenticate my application off of LDAP?
This is a common issue with different pieces of software, including the TWiki.
- Jabber -- Jared has been working on this problem, and hopefully we'll figure it out soon :-)
- TWiki -- I (Robinson) have been working on getting the twiki tied into LDAP, and I've found a couple of different resources
- A note on http://twiki.org seems to indicate that a simple change to the .htaccess file can make authentication via LDAP possible:

There doesn't seem to be a 'general site' concerning
