RayGun

The funny thing about Ray Guns is that for all the hype, modern science? still hasn't given us pocket-sized "blasters" or whatever that are like star trek phasers?.

OTOH, scientists have created several interesting devices including:

• Rail Guns? -- accelerate bits of metal to astonishing speeds
• The Wall of Fire -- an airborne "Laser Gun?" developed by (you guessed it) the US Military?
• Snow Guns? -- okay, nothing like a ray gun, but it does fill your yard with lots and lots of fluffy snow?.
