Yes, this is the page for Sidecar development:
Current News
- We're talking to Stephen Cochran?, (the guy at Dartmouth who has the power over the original code) to determine how we can reverse engineer the sources. I don't want to have to "clean room" it, because we don't have enough developers available to do such a thing!
- The source code in question can be downloaded from a Cornell website, but presumably that code is not open source (given what I was told by people at Cornell a few weeks ago).
Progress so far
- Jeff Goddard is on the Cornell linux mailing list, and is trying to determine if we can get source through them in some fashion.
- We don't have any APIs currently, but we're hoping to reverse engineer the sources that can be downloaded from the Cornell website. We just need to do that legally :-)
