ReverseEngineering

Reverse Engineering is the art of studying a process, machine, software program?, etc... , and then using that information to create a new device that will perform the same function(s).

Reverse engineering is legal in the US for many things, but be careful to understand what you can and can't do unless you want to get in trouble with lawyers from big companies!

Be warned that new legislation such as the DMCA is severely restricting your right to reverse engineer products, computers, etc... You might be thrown in jail if you even attempt to "break copy protection?" or it is shown that you circumvented such a device or code. Be careful!
