WeeklyMeetings
Weekly Meetings are a good idea. You should come and join us.
Current information
- Agenda -- please let us known (email 'linux') if you want stuff to be on the agenda for the next meeting.
- Minutes -- Jeff Goddard has been diligently taking minutes for us and posting them on the linux users mailing list. We should get him a Tux pen or something.
- Attendance -- we will take attendance to have numbers and remember who was there.
- Rules of Order -- nothing so far. Just don't all talk at once.
Meeting place
Collis Room 218
Meeting time
4:00 pm
Who's running the show?
For the forseeable future, I'll (
RobinsonTryon) organize meetings and make sure that we have them every week (or bi-weekly).
I've recently been slacking on the meetings and haven't been running things so smoothly. My apologies! I'm back, and with a vengance!

IDEAS for weekly meetings
Here are some ideas, but feel free to contribute more.
- Linux Help -- help maintaining a linux system or to answer questions.
- Guest Speakers -- have people from computing services or the CS dept. give mini-talks about topics in computing, networking, mobile technology, etc...
- Fun Time -- for us to hang out and eat lunch.
- Organize Projects -- new projects that we want to run. software we want to write (GUI for sidecar?) etc....
- Discuss News -- news about open source software. News about the Dartmouth Network and what's going to happen in the future.
- Offer Suggestions --
- Hey. Why don't we discuss having an official Student group? (reminder for us... :-)
- We've talked this one over a bit. Right now we're kind of a community group? more than a student group? per sé, but we can always reconsider in the future. RobinsonTryon - 10 Apr 2003
